Trimble Recognizes Tech-Savvy Customers with the 2023 Ovation Awards Winners!

After a competitive round of judging, we’re thrilled to announce the winners of Trimble’s 2023 Ovation Awards. As we previously discussed, these awards recognize transportation industry organizations that successfully utilize our solutions to increase performance, safety and efficiency of their business. Whatever their challenges may be, the winning organizations needed to demonstrate how we’re “Better Together” and how they innovate with our solutions in a creative way that drives their business forward.

Thank you to all of the organizations that submitted a nomination for this year’s Trimble Ovation Awards! We had a great response to this year’s program, with numerous entrants in each category. The competition was varied and intense and participants made this our most competitive event yet. Each and every submission was well-crafted and engaging, and made the selection process incredibly difficult for the judging panel.

Each winning company will receive an in-depth case study that shares their experience and tells their “Better Together” story; look for them in the coming weeks! Plus, each winner received a complimentary registration to the 2023 Insight Tech Conference + Expo at The Venetian in Las Vegas (a $1,475 value). At Insight, winning companies will receive VIP treatment at our Havana Nights event and our Party at A-Lot. Winners will also be featured on signage throughout the conference announcing their win in their category.

Without further ado, here are the winners! Please note, in some categories where there was a high volume of interest, we chose two winners based on fleet size.
 

Analytics Achievers: Best in Data Utilization

Winner: TDR Transportes

TDR Transportes is a company from B&G Capital Group, located in Queretaro, Mexico. With more than 29 years of experience, they have implemented innovative, efficient and profitable logistics solutions throughout the supply and distribution.
  

Analytics Achievers: Best in Data Utilization

Winner: McLane Company

Founded in 1894, McLane Company Inc. is one of the largest distributors in America, serving convenience stores, mass merchants, and chain restaurants. Upon winning the award, they remarked, “The unique need we had and Trimble’s ‘Better Together’ mentality provided a true partnership that not only improved our operations, but proved to also assist Trimble in reducing silos between the various vertical technologies Trimble provides.
 

Automation All-Stars: Best in Improving Overall Efficiencies

Winner: Polaris Transport Carriers

Since 1994, Polaris Transportation Group has been best known for scheduled LTL service between Canada and the US and industry-leading transit times to and from the US.
 

Automation All-Stars: Best in Improving Overall Efficiencies

Winner: Heniff Transportation Systems, LLC.

The Heniff family of companies is the premier leader in liquid bulk transportation, food grade, rail transloading, iso depot operations, tank cleaning and maintenance.
 

Better Together: Best Collaboration

Winner: General Express

General Express is based in Chicago, Illinois and is part of the ARL Network Division. They provide their customers with logistics solutions that save time and improve efficiencies.
 

Masters of Uptime: Best in Keeping Assets Up and Running

Winner: Foodliner, Inc

Foodliner® is the largest Bulk Food Grade carrier in the US and a Transport Topic Top 100 carrier.  Foodliner is part of McCoy Group, Inc, which was founded in 1958. Today, the headquarters are located in Dubuque, Iowa.
 

Platform Powerhouse: Best Example of a Trimble Transportation Power Use

Winner: Crete Carrier Corporation

The three divisions of Crete Carrier Corporation share a proud legacy of innovative leaders and dedicated drivers that influence our actions today as we strive to be the best trucking company in the country. They were established in Crete, Nebraska in1966 and are now headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska. 

Safety Superteam: Best in Advancing Safety

Winner: Ocean State Job Lot

Ocean State Job Lot is the Northeast's largest, privately held, closeout retail chain with 150 stores in New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, that was founded in 1977. They remarked upon winning, “We have successfully built not only safety standards, but a safety culture in which significant positive progress has resulted in fewer incidents, increased driver morale and an ongoing commitment to driver safety and awareness.”
 

Safety Superteam: Best in Advancing Safety

Winner: Bison Transport

Bison Transport is a privately held, professionally managed transportation company, established in 1969. With a network throughout Canada, the US and Mexico. They are also a previous Trimble Ovation Award winner, having won in 2022 in the category, “Automation All-Stars – Best in Improving Overall Efficiencies.”
