AI-powered next-gen Trimble TMS debuts at 2025 Trimble Insight Tech Conference

At the 2025 Trimble Insight Tech Conference, we unveiled Trimble TMS: our modular, cloud-native TMS for the AI age. Trimble TMS is designed to command the entire transportation operations lifecycle from order-to-cash. By embedding AI across the TMS—from grading incoming tenders and selecting the right freight to forecasting network load balance up to seven days out—Trimble TMS empowers customers to automate manual processes, accelerate strategic decision-making and amplify their teams’ productivity.

Trimble TMS: Built for intelligent automation

Trimble TMS is a modern, cloud-native solution that integrates with Trimble’s existing TMS solutions and leverages AI and machine learning to automate complex workflows and provide predictive insights. Trimble TMS adapts to customers’ specific business needs with flexible implementation. It will be available as a complete, end-to-end solution, or as modules that can be implemented individually for use with one of Trimble’s existing TMS solutions.

Trimble TMS empowers a wide range of users and job functions with AI features—from frontline customer service representatives to leadership—enabling enterprise fleets to operate with improved agility and efficiency at scale.

The solution will feature seven modules, each with embedded AI agents and workflows, to streamline the entire transportation operations cycle, from initial order acceptance and AI-assisted load building to optimized planning that intelligently matches shipments with the best available drivers. It also manages fleet readiness and provides live tracking and visibility, using driver data to generate highly-accurate ETAs. Modules include Order, Capacity, Supply:Demand, Status, Back Office and Control Center.

Trimble TMS also automates key back-office processes such contracts, rating and settlements while delivering high-level KPIs and metrics for managers to assess business health and performance. The solution centralizes reporting for administrative, financial and analytical functions and provides a single source of truth for data, from managing user setup to integrations.

“Our customers are facing unprecedented demands, and our goal with the next-gen, cloud-native TMS for the AI age is to give them a decisive competitive advantage,” said Michael Kornhauser, sector vice president, transportation and logistics at Trimble. “We developed this solution to work with our existing TMS solutions, ensuring a smooth, modular transition that protects their current investments while future-proofing their operations. Trimble TMS enables our customers to take targeted action, freeing up their teams to focus on more complex, value-added work and truly ‘level up’ their business.”

Trimble TMS trial period and availability

The Trimble TMS Order and Capacity modules are available for a pre-release, trial evaluation period by existing Trimble TMW.Suite TMS and Innovative TMS truckload SaaS carrier customers. Existing customers should contact their account manager for information about how to get started.
