How Trimble Is Shaping the Future of Global Supply Chains with Transporeon
We recently announced the exciting news that Transporeon has officially joined Trimble. And as a new member of the Transportation segment at Trimble, Transporeon is positioned to become a crucial link in our mission to connect the global supply chain.
Based in Germany with numerous offices around the world, Transporeon adds an increased global perspective to the challenges in commercial transportation we aim to address. Their cloud-based transportation management software platform provides modular applications for a global network of 158,000 carriers and 1,400 shippers and retailers with an integrated suite of best-in-class sourcing, planning, execution, monitoring and settlement tools.
At its core, this acquisition is about developing and offering solutions that address both the physical and digital realities of commercial transportation to increase efficiency, profitability, sustainability and customer satisfaction. Transporeon’s freight procurement, visibility and market analytics capabilities are a natural complement to our transportation management portfolio, and we anticipate future integrations of their technology with our own.
Together, Trimble and Transporeon bring more than 60 years of transportation industry experience in solution engineering, market intelligence, operational data management and much more. We have no doubt that this acquisition will help us better serve our customers and partners by expanding our capacity to develop new solutions and enhance the value of our existing ones.
To celebrate this new acquisition, Trimble’s CEO, Rob Painter, sat down with Transporeon’s CEO, Stephan Sieber, to discuss what Transporeon’s move to Trimble means for global supply chains and the commercial transportation industry at large. Check out the videos below to hear in their own words about the future of all things supply chain, transportation technology and Trimble Transportation.
